Foreign Language EP
When we started our journey about two years ago, it was clear to all of us at laminim that our main focus would always be the people walking alongside us. Both the audience and the artists have shaped us, and continue to shape us, into a better version of ourselves every day.
Most importantly, over the past years we’ve learned that everything has an end, but every beginning depends solely on ourselves. We’ve learned to laugh, to cry, and to look back with gratitude for all the memories and moments we’ve shared with amazing people.
One of the most important milestones for us was definitely Cata joining us with Sky Bridge, our first-ever EP released on laminim. We will always be deeply grateful and hold great respect for the support and trust he showed us at the very beginning of our journey. He has been, and will always be, an important member of our family.
That being said, Cata is officially joining us again for his second release: Foreign Language, a three-track EP (Claro, The Game, Songwriter) that we believe best captures the essence of our vision, “simple music that moves the body and the spirit”.
Claro’s hypnotic sequence and vocals come together to create a powerful minimal arrangement that represents the solid foundation of Cata’s sound, something he has been carefully shaping for years.
With The Game, the mood shifts: a deep melodic bass and tight percussion symmetrically define the track’s direction, while the vocals follow and drive the rhythm. They effortlessly embed themselves into the listener’s ear and soul, making it a piece you’ll want to return to again and again.
Finally, Songwriter is the perfect way to describe Cata, this is who he truly is and what he does best. Guided by instinct and inspired by his background as a music producer, he brings together warming vocals and a raw minimal atmosphere infused with repetitive tribal influences that carry the groove forward.
